Sea Shepherd - saving the whale
Hi it's me again. This morning Grant from Sea Shepherd talked to the class about what he does, because he wants to make us aware that the whales are getting killed. The Sea Shepherd sunk a fibre glass boat when they were tracking the Japanese boat the Nishan Maru. The Nishan Maru is like the freezing works except it's on a boat. The Nishan Maru his to pick up a whale in 12 hours or the whale will rot because they are mammals. Once the Nishan Maru went into the ice and it was so slow that it stopped and that was good for the Sea Shepherd because the Japanese lost many.

Hi Jacob
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting story about the Sea Shepherd and whales. Do you know why the Japanese are killing whales? How does the Sea Shepherd stop whales being caught?
